6 years ago today, I did the best thing I have ever done. I married the most amazing man. I sometimes put on a front that I chose you, but you had me from the moment we met. So glad you chose me, I’m better because of you. I miss you so much Jason, just not the same without you.
These pics are awful, but they are the only ones from the “secret/real” wedding. Just us at the courthouse in our jeans…no rings, no anything- but we knew it was for good. Afterwards we went to the zoo, Very jason & niki.
Almost a year and a half later, we decided to let everyone else in on the secret. That we’d be together forever….not much of a secret right? Last few are from our “fake wedding”

Staff Sgt. Jason Sean Dahlke, 29, a native of Orlando, Fla., died during an attack by a Ranger task force on an enemy position, Aug. 29. He served in the Regiment for more than four years. He is survived by his wife Nikole M. Norvell Dahlke of Richmond Hill, Ga., father Roger Dahlke and step-mother Tessa Dahlke of Jacksonville, Fla., and mother Debra DeLaney. Sisters: Talia Dahlke, Taryn Funcheon, Donielle Graham, Kelsea Evans. He joins his brother Joshua Dahlke in a better place.
Jason’s personal awards included a Purple Heart and two Army Commendation Medals.
He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal, another Purple Heart and the Meritorious Service Medal.
